Ye Olde Fighting Cocks

19th and early 20th centuries, hence the name of the pub. With its long history 'The Cocks' could tell a few stories! Located in the middle of Verulamium park we are a dog friendly pub. We welcome all muddy boots and paws to stop off for a drink and maybe even a treat! We created our own beer Black Listed with the team at local brewery Farr Brew, which was tasted by the Editor of the Good Beer Guide and CAMRA’s Roger Protz . More than happy to report he said it was delicious. We are proud to have been consistently awarded a Cask Marque honour for our rotating real ales. We have our own merchandise range of the highest quality featuring our logo of the iconic shape of the building. We pride ourselves on our multi award winning food. From our famous chicken wings, to our juicy burger, to our comforting and delicious Sunday lunch; we aim to please all with our menu, homemade and locally sourced. The best bit? We're available for hire! Party in the oldest pub in Britain? Yes please!
