Located directly opposite the beautiful church in the picturesque village of Warehorne, The Woolpack is an historic inn that has been lovingly restored and is part of the collection of Ramblinns independent inns. Relax by the fireside or outside on the timbered terrace, get cosy in the tap bar or parlour and enjoy a menu ranging from all-day snacks to three course dinners. Like all Ramblinns businesses, The Woolpack specialises in providing the best seasonal food and drink from local producers with a menu of fresh delicious daily specials from marsh, farm and seashore and the finest local wines and beers on offer.
You can lay your head in one of the five luxurious en-suites, from the romantic opulence of the Honeychild and Josephine suites, the splendid Frederick (named after our friendly ghost!) or the smaller yet perfectly formed Niddy and Noddy (so called after the historic names for wool-spinning machines and those who operated them). All rooms have free-standing bath-tubs, with other special features including open fires and a quirky and individualistic design scheme with an abundance of unique touches.
It is possible to ramble between our inns through the outstandingly beautiful countryside on our doorstep. A 3-4 hour walk along the Royal Military Canal takes you to Rye where you can enjoy refreshments at The Globe Inn Marsh and explore the historic town or alternatively ramble via canal and countryside trails for c. 5 hours to arrive at The Five Bells Inn in Brabourne at the foot of the North Downs, where you can also stay overnight.. Ride or tour the inns or region by arrangement in our dedicated Ramblinns harrier bus!
