Canterbury Brewers and Distillers at The Foundry Brew Pub, Canterbury

We are a family run business and proud to be producing multi award winning beers and now fine craft spirits too. Open as a bar and restaurant also makes us a really great place to visit. Our busy restaurant serves a range of traditional English pub food and American inspired brewpub classics. We are one of the few Gin makers to make our own base spirit, we brew this onsite from the finest English barley. We are one of only a handful of Rum distillers in the country, our Rums are distilled from A grade molasses wine, fermented right here in the distillery.

We have started producing Whiskey too and our first single barrel, single malt is currently aging in the brew pub-ready 2022 it’s set to be really unique having harvested yeast locally from St Augustine's Abbey.

Our tour and tasting experiences are the perfect way to really delve into our passion for brewing and distilling. Our brewing and distilling process is shown in the brewery, along with tons of history and fascinating facts about our products and then the best part for most the guided tasting after.

Canterbury Brewers and Distillers organise The Kent Green Hop Beer Festival-this is a fantastic event whereby all of the brewers in Kent brew with hops fresh from the harvest (not dried) These unique beers are only available for the festival until the next harvest! It’s a 3 day event, family friendly and a real celebration of Canterbury Food and Drink festival in the Dane John Gardens.
